Medan – The Language Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has established a collaboration with the Indonesian International Education Foundation (IIEF) Jakarta in order to enhance the quality of testing services and the development of internationally recognized English language competencies.
This collaboration represents a strategic step in supporting the improvement of English proficiency among the academic community and the general public, particularly in addressing academic and professional demands at the global level. Through this partnership, the USU Language Center is committed to providing high-quality, reliable language education services that meet international standards.
IIEF is a non-profit organization established in 1982 that focuses on developing Indonesia’s human resources through international education, including the management of scholarship programs, capacity building initiatives, as well as testing and certification services such as TOEFL ITP.
The collaboration between the USU Language Center and IIEF is expected to expand public access to internationally recognized English proficiency testing services, while also strengthening the role of educational institutions in enhancing global competitiveness.
During the meeting held at the USU Language Center, both parties discussed efforts to strengthen service quality, standardize test administration, and explore opportunities for the development of future academic programs. This collaboration also reflects an ongoing commitment to improving educational quality and graduate competencies in order to compete at the international level.
Through this partnership, the USU Language Center hopes to continue making meaningful contributions to improving the quality of language education and to provide broader opportunities for learners to achieve academic and professional success at the global level.
