Visit of Foreign Students from the Intercultural Exchange Program to the USU Language Center

A visit from foreign students participating in the Intercultural Student Exchange Program took place at the Language Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) on Friday, January 12, 2024. During the visit, the Language Center presented its various language service programs and explained how the USU Language Center can support the enhancement of quality within the intercultural exchange program for foreign students. It is expected that this visit will foster collaboration that can be followed up in the near future. 1. Uphold the Indonesian language 2. Preserve ethnic languages 3. Learn foreign languages

The visit involved foreign students Niels Simon from Germany and Mary Felizez from the United States as part of the Intercultural Student Exchange Program. On this occasion, the USU Language Center also introduced the BIPA Program (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers), which aims to help international students improve their proficiency in the Indonesian language.
