Medan, 9 December 2025 — The Language Center of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has been awarded 1st Place in the Selection of Best Work Units in Archival Management for 2025, an achievement announced during the peak event of the 2025 USU Award held at the USU Student Hall.
The award was presented by the USU Archives Office based on a comprehensive evaluation of faculties and work units that demonstrated outstanding archival management throughout 2025. The certificate, numbered 24546/UN5.3.1.3/OT.00.02/2025, was signed by the Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, and the Head of the USU Archives Office, Dr. Aisyah, SE., M.Si.
The certificate states that the Language Center has been recognized as:
“1st Place in the Selection of Best Work Units in Archival Management within Universitas Sumatera Utara for 2025.”
This award serves as a form of appreciation for the Language Center’s commitment to enhancing the quality of archival governance, including document storage systems, documentation, information accessibility, and the utilization of technology in archival management.
During the awarding ceremony, representatives of the Language Center appeared on stage alongside other award recipients at the 2025 USU Award. The event, themed “Honoring Excellence, Inspiring Impact,” marked an important moment for USU in reaffirming its commitment to a professional work culture, well-structured administration, and high-quality service standards.
This achievement is expected to inspire other work units to further strengthen governance, particularly in archival management, which serves as a crucial foundation for transparency, accountability, and sustainable administrative operations within the university.
